After reviewing and editing the article can be published in Ukrainian, English or Polish considering the author’s wish.

Total size of the scientific article should have not less than 10 pages. The article should be signed by all authors, supplemented with the information about the authors (address, job place, job position, phone number, e-mail).

Submitting the article for publishing, the authors agree to collection and processing of their personal information to include it into databases, according to the Law of Ukraine № 2297-VІ “On protection of personal information” on June 1, 2010. Names and e-mails, mentioned by the authors, will be used only for making internal technical tasks of the Journal; they will be not spread and informed to other unauthorized persons.

The first page includes:

v  UDC index (left justified, italic type);

v  title of the article (capital letters, left justified, bold type);

v  initials and surname of the authors (coauthors), scientific degree, academic title (left justified, italic type);

v  full name of the institution of the author’s employment (left justified, italic type);

v  text of the article.

Text of the article should obligatory include the following rubrics: problem setting, analysis of recent researches and publications, task setting, methodology of the research and materials, main results, conclusions and prospects of the further scientific search, references.

Rubric “Problem setting” should outline the very problem, its content, timeliness and importance of its solution.

Rubric “Analysis of recent researches and publication” should not just name scientists, engaged in the problem studying, but really analyze conditions of the problem development in the works and make corresponding summing up, i.e. what is not completely studied and what is not studied at all and provides a great field for the further research in the direction.

Rubric “Task setting” should clearly formulate task of the article (like “task of the article is to present main results of the research… (to mention the problem), as well as verify a working hypothesis (hypotheses), which is revealed in …”).

Rubric “Methodology of the research and materials” should present methods of the research, used in the process of its completing. The author should not only describe general methods of the research (like grouping, correlation analysis, etc.), but actually present, where and how each method was used. A more detailed description should be given for original author’s methodic approaches. In the rubric, it is also necessary to mention applied informational base, possibly (if it is important) – what interesting data have been processed.

Rubric “Main results” logically and gradually presents main results, obtained in the research. Results of similar researches of other scientists, used in the article, should be referred to the sources of information. It is permitted to present discussions concerning the obtained results.

Rubric “Conclusions and prospects of the further scientific search” should give a logical numerical list of main conclusions concerning results of the research, confirm conditions of verification of the accepted working hypothesis, formulate prospects of the nearest researches in the direction of the problem solution.

References (notlessthan 10 entries, with obligatory references in the text) should be designed according to the requirements at the level of HARVARD REFERENCING STYLE (see Annex).

Requirements to quotation and organization of the list of references in the scientific journal “agrarian economY”

According to the Order of the MES of Ukraine 40 on January 12, 2017, bibliographical description of the used sources can be designed with consideration of the National Standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographical reference. General fundamentals and rules of completing” or one of the styles, recommended for completing of references list for scientific publications.

Bibliographical description of the used sources can be limited by obligatory information, necessary for exact identification of the source.

The scientific journal “Agrarian economics” has chosen Harvard style (Harvard referencing style) for completing of references. Such style has been chosen because of its maximum simplification of bibliographical description and for maximum improvement of the journal recognition by international scientific backlist-metric bases.

Harvard style expects use of references in the text of the work each time when it is cited (paraphrase, quotation inside a line, block quotation). In-text referencing includes information about  author of the work, date of publication, page spacing (if a direct quotation or rephrased concrete information is mentioned).

Design of quotations in the text

Paraphrase– is not quoted.

Quotation inside a sentence (up to 50 words) – is quoted (“…”).

Example, Vyhotskyi (1991, p. 11) stressed that “everywhere development of a child individuality is revealed as a function from development of its collective behavior”.

Block quotation (50 words and more) – to make accent on the quotation it is quoted and presented in the text with left indent for the whole quotation.

Referencing of the quotation is put after the quotation and a full point.

«Outside the UK, the BBC World Service has provided services by direct broadcasting and re-transmission contracts by sound radio since the inauguration of the BBC Empire Service in December 1932, and more recently by television and online. Though sharing some of the facilities of the domestic services, particularly for news and current affairs output, the World Service has a separate Managing Director, and its operating costs have historically been funded mainly by direct grants from the UK government. These grants were determined independently of the domestic license fee. A recent spending review has announced plans for the funding for the world service to be drawn from the domestic license fee». (Jones, 1967, p.27)

Design of quotations in a text:

1) if surname of the author of a quoted work is absent in the text, it is marked in brackets at the end of the sentence before a full point or according to the sentence logics.

Example: (Khomskyi, 1972, p. 97-98); (Ganzen, 1984).

2) if the author of a quoted work is mentioned in the text, year of publication is put in brackets after the surname of the author or after the quoted abstract, if the quotation is direct.

Example: Ushakova (2011); Hvozdiev (1961, p. 374); Hvozdiev “…” (1961, p. 374).

Special cases of in-text references:

-          a work of two authors (Koval and Shvets, 2012);

-          aworkofthreeauthors (Kutsyi, ShvetsandMelnyk, 2013);

-          a work of four authors (Zaliznyi and others, 1998);

-          aworkofanorganization (TheWorldHealth Organization, 2016), and next referencing – (WHO, 2016);

-          a work without an author – the first mentioning – full title of the work, afterwards – a shorted title;

-          a work by editing (Tymoshenko, edit., 2015);

-          works of the same author of different years (Abharian, 2007; 2010);

-          works of the same author of the same year (Kots, 2007a; 2007b);

-          works of different authors of different years (Luhovyi and Velet (2001); Shraik (1999); Hudz and others (1997).

Organization of references list

References list is placed at the end of the work. It gives information, which is necessary to find and get any source, quoted in the text of the document. Each source, quoted in the work should be included in the list of references. Each entry of the list of references should be mentioned in the text of the work.

Sources are not numbered, but organized in alphabetic order according to surnames of authors and in chronological order, when there is a reference to more than one work of the same author (by publication year, starting from the earliest one).

In case there are works of the same author, published in the same year, they are listed in alphabetic order in the list of references, considering titles of the works; publication year is added with a small Latin letter a, b, c… .

Vashulenko, M.S. 2006a, Native language, Osvita, Kyiv.

Vashulenko, M.S. 2006b, Ukrainian language and speech at elementary school, Osvita, Kyiv.

In case of several works of the same year of publication with the same first author in the list, a reference with less authors is placed first.
